Title: Lead Pastor - Agricultural Ministry
Position information
Responsibilities
The Lead Pastor of our ministry will preach the word of God and make physical the foundation of the
Word of God through our community. Use experience with the pulpit ministry (preaching and teaching,
administering Holy Communion, counseling, officiating weddings, child dedication, and funerals) to
perform duties of a lead pastor. Use experience with the Four-fold Gospel of Christ to lead the Spiritual
Formation of The Alliance Congregation. Use experience with faith based rural leadership to fulfill
Mission Engagement 24-25 to sow abundantly, pray expectantly, and harvest faithfully, until the King
returns. Use experience with Christian evangelizing through agriculture to create a welcoming and
hospitable environment where the economically disadvantaged in our community has opportunities to
experience, hear, see, and respond to the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Use knowledge of intercultural
studies and congregations and social change to minister to the diverse people of our community.
International and U.S. National travel to various unanticipated client’s worksites 2-4 times a year.
Requirements
* Master’s Degree in Spiritual Formation, Intercultural Studies, or related field;
* 1 year of experience as Associate Pastor and Assistant Chaplain, Senior Pastor and Senior
Chaplain, or related job title;
* Experience with pulpit ministry (preaching and teaching, administering Holy Communion,
counseling, officiating weddings, child dedication, and funerals);
* Experience with the Four-fold Gospel of Christ;
* Experience with faith based rural leadership;
* Experience with Christian evangelizing through agriculture;
* Knowledge of intercultural studies and congregations and social change; and
* International and U.S. National travel to various unanticipated mission worksites 2-4 times a year.
