The annual Sportsman's Fishing Challenge and Campout is scheduled for May 13-15 at Steamboat Rock State Park on Banks Lake. There are a number of ways to participate in all or part of this event. Those interested in camping can sign up to join the group that has four sites reserved in the Dunes Loop camp area. Or you can choose to come down for just a day of fishing (or enjoying the outdoors). All men are invited to join the group Saturday evening for the fellowship potluck. The schedule for the weekend is as follows.

Friday, May 13

Pre-fish available for anyone interested

2 p.m. campsite check-in

Saturday, May 14

6 a.m. Prayer and boat assignments at the boat launch near the campgrounds

6:30 a.m. Launch

6:30 a.m.-4p.m. Fishing Challenge

Anyone not interested in fishing is welcome to enjoy hiking, canoeing, kayaking or swimming.

6 p.m. - Fellowship Potluck. We will BBQ fish, hot dogs and hamburgers. Please bring side dishes and desserts to share.

After dinner will be a time of prayer and a devotion led by Tim Erlenmeyer.
